Electronics

Program Description

Electronics program covers such items as: basic electricity concepts, the use of test equipment, electronic theory and applications, digital electronic applications, power supply theory and application, audio amplifiers, car audio repair and installation, electronics assembly, electronic troubleshooting and repair, and video security and surveillance technology. The Electronics program stimulates an attitude for success in an employment setting. While all first year students learn the fundamentals of electronics the program allows each student to work at their own pace. Second year students can expect the instruction to be tailored to their own interest and goals after graduation. Foundational skills are key components to the program and include basic concepts of electricity, career orientation, employability training, team building, hand and power tool functions, electricity safety, mechanical reasoning, problem solving, applied communication, management and leadership skills.
